Medical Centre Leeuwarden continues to expand
The Medical Centre Leeuwarden (MCL) is a large and specialised academic hospital in the province of Friesland, designed by Holland Hospital Architects (HHA). The MCL is part of a select group of hospitals in the Netherlands that provides specialised clinical care. The hospital covers all of the major medical disciplines and also features several specialisations and centres, such as the Friesland Heart Centre, the Friesland Varicose Vein Clinic and the Netherlands Centre for Obesity. The hospital will be expanded over the next few years to include a family treatment centre, an operating room complex, a cardiac catheterisation centre and a rehabilitation clinic.
